वद्युत प्रज्ञा - Specialised internship programme for Power System
Simulation Studies
Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA), a Miniratna-I & Schedule “A” CPSE,
is a wholly owned Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Power. It
is a knowledge-based organisation of national importance, responsible for
managing Power System operations, a mission-critical activity. GRID-INDIA has
been entrusted with the responsibility of operating the National Load Despatch
Centre (NLDC) and the five Regional Load Despatch Centres (RLDCs). Among its
other functions, it also undertakes technical studies essential for secure, reliable
and efficient operation of the Indian power system.
With increasing renewable energy integration, evolving generation, demand
patterns and emergence of new grid technologies- specialised expertise in Power
System Simulation Studies (load-flow, dynamic and electro-magnetic transient
studies) is becoming increasingly important. The availability of engineers
proficient in power system modelling, simulation and analytical studies is essential
for addressing these challenges.
Hence, GRID-INDIA is introducing वद्युत प्रज्ञा - a specialised internship programme
to develop technical expertise in India in the field of Power System Simulation
Studies. The internship scheme will provide engineering graduates, post-
graduates and research scholars with structured exposure to practical applications
of simulation and modelling tools in the Indian power system, thereby contributing
to the development of a skilled talent pool in this specialised domain.
